The Pill Prototype #1

A couple months ago, a buddy of mine approached me with an idea for a small wave shortboard. In the weeks to follow, we hypothesized, designed, tweaked, and discussed the finer points of this board. This past week, we made our theories a reality by shaping a board we are calling the Pill. As addictive as the name implies, this 5'8" x 21 1/2" x 2 3/4" applies select aspects of the very popular mini-Simmons boards (wide outline and slightly rolled bottom entry) with the finer points of a performance quad creating a fast and loose board that isn't afraid to throw a snap once in a while. The bottom contours feature a slight belly in the nose moving into a tri-plane through the middle with a deep double barrel V running all the way out the tail. Once I get some feedback from my friend, we'll make some refinements, but we're both very excited about this board. I'll keep everyone updated!

Join the Migration...

It's what we do as surfers. We migrate between the waves seeking our next great session or ride. Like numorous species of birds that fly vast distances to seek proper habitat, our own migratory journeys have taken us to many different niches of the surfing world. From modern high performance shortboards, to noseriding logs, to retro boards, quads, alaias, and handplanes, many of us have experimented with them all. Each new experience helps us understand another aspect of our surfing and the waves we constantly flock to. Here at Migration Surfboards, we are driven to help you get on the right board to further your own surfing journey and explore new ways to experience the waves. Each board is hand shaped and glassed to your exacting specifications. We use the highest quality materials available to ensure your board will last a long time. So come along and join the Migration...
