A couple months ago, a buddy of mine approached me with an idea for a small wave shortboard. In the weeks to follow, we hypothesized, designed, tweaked, and discussed the finer points of this board. This past week, we made our theories a reality by shaping a board we are calling the Pill. As addictive as the name implies, this 5'8" x 21 1/2" x 2 3/4" applies select aspects of the very popular mini-Simmons boards (wide outline and slightly rolled bottom entry) with the finer points of a performance quad creating a fast and loose board that isn't afraid to throw a snap once in a while. The bottom contours feature a slight belly in the nose moving into a tri-plane through the middle with a deep double barrel V running all the way out the tail. Once I get some feedback from my friend, we'll make some refinements, but we're both very excited about this board. I'll keep everyone updated!
