Josh's Board
From time to time, I'm going to post up some past boards that I've built that I think are pretty cool. This one is a 6'6" x 19" x 2 5/8" step-up board for my friend Josh. Josh is probably the best surfer I have had the opportunity to shape for. Growing up, he was an Orange County gremmie that had a lot of success and even a few sponsorships. Currently, he's an accomplished SUP flatwater racer. He moved up to Santa Cruz last summer, and after seeing some of the great surf we had this past winter, he figured his little 5'6" CI Biscuit wasn't going to cut it, so we shaped up his step-up board. Clean lines all around, nothing fancy, but there's just something about a clean rounded pin thruster that gets me excited (probably knowing the great waves a board like that will be riding!). I ran into Josh the other day and he told me the board is riding really great. It's always a good feeling to know that a board is working well for someone.

Another 5'8" Quad
Something for the fellow Migrators who love to grovel in small waves... Nothing too revolutionary about this board, but built for the summer waves we have out here in Santa Cruz. Flat rocker, wide rounded pin with a wing. Designed to be fast and loose. Currently for sale on Craigslist as it is way too small for me. Dimensions are 5'8" x 20" x 2 5/8". Enjoy!
